Hawzah News Agency- the 65th demise anniversary of the Supreme Leader of the Shiite world, Grand Ayatollah Boroujerdi (RA) will be held in Qom with the presence of students, seminary professors, scholars and representatives of the Shia sources of emulation.

This ceremony will be held with the speech of Hujjat al-Islam Hossein Ansarian followed by a eulogy from Seyyed Mahdi Mirdamad, on Tuesday after Maghrib prayer in the Great Mosque of Qom, located in the holy shrine of Lady Fatima Masuma (PBUH).

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Hossein Ali Tabatabaei Boroujerdi (; 23 March 1875 – 30 March 1961) was a leading Iranian Shia Source of emulation in Iran from approximately 1947 to his death in 1961.

Ayatollah Boroujerdi was born on 23 March 1875 in the city of Borujerd in Lorestan Province in Iran. His family traced its lineage 30 generations to Hassan ibn Ali (the grandson of Muhammad). His father Sayyid Ali Tabatabaei was a religious scholar in Borujerd and his mother, Seyyedeh Agha Beygum, was the daughter of Sayyid Mohammad Ali Tabatabaei.

This religious scholar and high-ranking jurist passed away on the morning of Thursday, the 13th of Shawwal 1380 After Hijra, and his pure body was buried near the royal court of Lady Masuma (PBUH) in Qom.
